Last year, the UK's Cult Black Metal band 'Old Forest' reformed after a 7 year hiatus, and began work on what evolved into the trilogy 'Tales of the Sussex Weald' (a.k.a 'Anredsweald'), which was once a vast tract of impenetrable forest along the south downs of the south coast of England.

There are many myths and legends of this area, which was one of the last to come under the influence of the christian empire in the middle ages - a taste for witchcraft, myths of the old gods and giant stoneage earthworks. In part 1 of the trilogy, Old Forest documented the tales surrounding the local legend of The Devil's Dyke (see link below).

Tales of the Sussex Weald ; Part 2 - Domain of the Long Man documents the myths, legends and tales in the domain of The Long Man Of Wilmington, which is an undated ancient pagan god carved into the side of the chalk downs. Measuring a staggering 227 feet in height, there is no record for its purpose other than the long-barrow graves on the hill above (which have an age of perhaps 4000 years).

With a release date of the 22nd of December, 'Part 2' is now ready to order from Death To Music exclusively, strictly limited to 222 copies for the paltry sum of £6.66 which includes postage worlwide as well as a limited edition pin badge (available with this release only). This is set to be yet another cult classic to add to 'Part 1'.
